Yoga Psychology Appreciation Course

Yoga Psychology Appreciation Course : 10th October – 14th October 2018

The human mind, conceiving of the Universe is no less complex than the Universe itself. While contemporary psychology, for clinical purposes prefers to categorise this complex human mind into neat little categories, the simple truth is that no two human minds are alike, given their immense complexity. To address this uniqueness of individual human psyche, the 0 POINT SYSTEM of Yogic Psychology, created at AMY, and sourced from the founts of Yogic wisdom, such as Samkhya, Raja Yoga, Laya Yoga, Siva Sutras and the Upanishads, delivers a direct and observable system of psychosomatic analysis based on the 5 Universal Elements.

The AMY YOGA PSYCHOLOGY APPRECIATION COURSE will introduce the students to the Theory of the 0 Point System of Yogic Psychology and the psyche of the Elemental combinations. Students will also learn about the Psychodiagnostic tools and techniques of the 0 Point System. Yogic psychology, being holistic in nature, does not separate the body and the mind, but rather views the whole as a psychosomatic structure that is subject to constant change. Keeping this in mind, the students will also train in the 24 Asana Kriya of the P-TAK (Pancha Tattva Asana Kriya/ 5 Elements Asana Techniques) which are based on the 5 Elements. Knowledge about using the 5 Element asanas to effect changes in personality will also be transmitted to the students. The Diagnostics and understanding of the 5 Elements and their combined personality types will be divided across the Cognitive, Affective and Behavioural trait groups.

At the end of the AMY YOGA PSYCHOLOGY APPRECIATION COURSE, students will have an enhanced appreciation of the play of the 5 Universal Elements within themselves and in the environment. Students will be enabled to conduct self-diagnosis of their own Elemental combinations and cognitive, affective and behavioural traits. Furthermore, students will know how to construct Asanas into new kriyas or techniques involving different elements, meant for attaining new personality traits and/ or changing existing traits.

Students stay at our sister concern – Namlang-Himal Resorts, an eco-village set up at the foothills of Dhauladhar ranges. The resort is a collection of traditional cottages that offer a peaceful and spiritually conducive atmosphere for retreats and workshops.
